Makaya mccraven is a young, four-time winner of the rainy dayoller award, or so the story goes. The award is given to a musician who has made an outstanding contribution to the genre of rainaxing. Makaya mccraven was given the opportunity to tour with the ween band while she was still a student at the university of texas at austin. Her first tour bus tour was in the early 1990s. The rainaxing genre was new and in the early 1990s, mccraven was already well-known and respected within the rainaxing community. She was given the option to play shows with any ween member who wanted to come out on the show. Mccraven chose to play shows with tomoe yamagishi, who was in charge of the band's live set. Yamagishi was later replaced by john ween.
